Samira Mairaj is a senior global HR executive with more than two decades of experience shaping people, culture, and transformation agendas across complex multinational businesses. Her career spans Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, and Aviation, with leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies including Novartis, P&G, Emirates Airlines, and Alcon. She has led large-scale organizational transformations, business turnarounds, and enterprise talent strategies in highly regulated, multicultural environments–partnering closely with business leaders to translate strategy into capability, culture, and sustainable high performance.

Her experience spans both global Centers of Excellence and business-facing HR leadership roles, giving her a broad perspective on how enterprise people strategies are designed, scaled, and embedded in the realities of the business. Combining business insight with a deeply human leadership style, Samira brings a perspective shaped by diverse markets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, and by her experience in companies where people can connect their work to a larger purpose. She is passionate about redefining the role of HR in an era of transformation–bringing together strategy, data, technology, and humanity to shape organizations where people and performance can thrive. She currently leads Europe and International HR for Alcon and is based in Switzerland, where she lives with her husband and teenage son.
