ENG:Costanza Hermanin is a part-time professor at the European University Institute and a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe (Bruges) and Sciences Po Paris. Her academic and teaching work focus on policies in the fields of justice, equality, non-discrimination, and foreign policy. She also works on the politics and decision-making processes of the European Union, with a special focus on inter-institutional relations. She has presented her work on multiple occasions at the European Parliament and other international organisations, and she is a frequent media contributor. Costanza has been politically active in Italy and Europe, and is the President of EquALL, an NGO promoting pluralism and gender parity in politics and the media. She has worked in the cabinet of Italy’s Minister of Justice (2016–2018) and held positions at the Open Society Foundations in Brussels, the European Commission, and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She is among the founding members of the Berkeley Center for Comparative Equality and Anti-Discrimination Law, Women in International Security – Italy, and Science for Democracy. She also serves on the advisory board of the Guarini Institute for Public Affairs and on the board of the Migration Policy Group. Additionally, she has served as an alternate member of the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) of the Council of Europe, representing Italy. ITA: Costanza Hermanin è professoressa part-time presso l’Istituto Universitario Europeo e Visiting Professor presso il Collegio d’Europa (Bruges) e Sciences Po Paris. La sua attività accademica e didattica si concentra su politiche nei settori della giustizia, dell’uguaglianza, della non discriminazione e della politica estera. Si occupa inoltre delle dinamiche politiche e dei processi decisionali dell’Unione Europea, con un focus particolare sulle relazioni inter-istituzionali. In diverse occasioni ha presentato i suoi lavori presso il Parlamento Europeo e altre organizzazioni internazionali, ed è una commentatrice frequente nei media. Costanza è attivamente impegnata in politica, in Italia e in Europa, ed è Presidente di EquALL, ONG che promuove il pluralismo e la parità di genere nella politica e nei media. Ha lavorato nel gabinetto del Ministro della Giustizia italiano (2016–2018) e ricoperto incarichi presso l’Open Society Foundations a Bruxelles, la Commissione Europea e il Ministero degli Affari Esteri francese. È tra i membri fondatori del Berkeley Center for Comparative Equality and Anti-Discrimination Law, di Women in International Security – Italy e di Science for Democracy. Fa inoltre parte dell’advisory board del Guarini Institute for Public Affairs e del consiglio direttivo del Migration Policy Group. In passato, ha anche rappresentato l’Italia come membro supplente della Commissione europea contro il razzismo e l’intolleranza (ECRI) del Consiglio d’Europa.
